What Happens If CompletionPrism™ Itself Goes Down?

CompletionPrism™ fails open. If it errors or cannot decide, the request goes straight to the provider unchanged, so it never blocks anyone.

It Fails Open

CompletionPrism™ is designed so that it can never be the reason work stops. If it errors, or cannot make a routing decision for any reason, the request goes through to the provider exactly as it would have without CompletionPrism™.

Why This Matters

Sitting in front of every AI request a company makes is a serious responsibility. A cost optimizer that could block requests would trade a cost problem for an availability problem. Failing open means the worst case is the company's normal cost for that request, not an outage.

For Developers

When developers use CompletionPrism™ under Claude Code or another agent, the same rule applies: if CompletionPrism™ is unavailable, the agent's request goes straight to the provider. Removing it is one command.

For Software Vendors

Inside a vendor's product, the Embedded License also fails open to the vendor's default model. See CompletionPrism™.
