It provides decision integrity for the full spectrum of vehicle automation, including ADAS features (automatic emergency braking, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control) and Level 2+ systems where the AI assists but the human driver retains responsibility.
ADAS systems are already making safety-critical decisions millions of times per day. When an automatic emergency braking system activates, or a lane-keeping system overrides driver input, or an adaptive cruise control system adjusts speed, the AI made a decision. If that decision contributes to an incident, the vehicle manufacturer, the ADAS supplier, and the fleet operator all need verifiable evidence of what happened.
For ADAS and Level 2+ systems, InferTrust™ captures decision events using actions appropriate to the automation level: ASSIST_ACTIVATE (system engaged), ASSIST_OVERRIDE (system took control from driver input), ASSIST_ALERT (warning issued to driver), and ASSIST_DISENGAGE (system deactivated). Each event includes the sensor data confidence, the active assistance policy, and the driver state indicators available to the system.
