Prism: AI-Native Enterprise App Development
Prism takes enterprise application development from months down to days and weeks. Multi-tenancy, authentication and SSO, billing, SOC 2-ready security, an admin portal, and AI services are already handled. Delivered mainly as a technology-enabled service, with licensing available.
What Prism Is
Prism is a production-grade, AI-native platform that takes enterprise application development from months down to days and weeks. Multi-tenant provisioning, authentication and SSO, billing, SOC 2-ready security and audit, an admin portal, an AI gateway, and a built-in knowledge layer are already handled. Your team supplies the twenty percent that is unique to your product; Prism supplies the eighty percent that is identical for every enterprise application. It is delivered mainly as a technology-enabled service, in which the illuminis team builds your product on Prism with you, and is also available as a licensed platform or through a partner program.
The Problem: The Demo Was Never the Hard Part
AI made building a working prototype easy. It did not make anything else easy. Between a demo that impresses a buyer and a product that buyer will sign for sits multi-tenancy, authentication, permissions, billing, audit logging, encryption, disaster recovery, and a security review that asks for evidence rather than intentions.
- 3 to 6 months to build the security and compliance posture an enterprise buyer requires before they will sign
- 6 to 12 months from working prototype to first paying enterprise customer, built from scratch
- $5K to $20K per month in infrastructure and DevOps cost to run a multi-tenant platform yourself
Six Pillars of an Enterprise Foundation
- Multi-tenant provisioning: schema-isolated databases per tenant, automated provisioning from a golden-tenant clone, and dedicated per-tenant compute, so every new account stands up with the same isolation and no configuration drift.
- Authentication, SSO, and access control: token-based authentication, multi-factor authentication, role-based access control, and enterprise SSO, shipped and tested.
- SOC 2-ready security and audit: encryption at rest, TLS in transit, customer-managed keys, an immutable audit-log store with long-term retention, and per-tenant isolation, mapped to a documented control set.
- AI-native services and knowledge layer: every model call routes through one gateway, so AI usage and cost are attributed per tenant and sensitive fields are withheld from prompts by policy. A vector knowledge base is built in and re-indexed automatically.
- Relational object graph and data management: generated tables and forms over your data model with live references, inline record creation, import and export, connectors, and dashboards ready for real data on day one.
- Billing, plans, and module gating: subscription and usage billing with per-module entitlement, so features unlock by tier and packaging changes without touching application code.
Five Commands. Five Guarantees.
Most vendors describe their security posture in slides. Prism describes it in repeatable operations that produce the same outcome every time, leave an audit trail, and can be re-run on demand in front of your team or your customer's auditor.
- Provision: every application starts compliant on day one, with a schema-isolated database, customer-managed keys, enforced TLS, audit logging with long-term tamper-proof retention, and cross-region replication of compliance evidence.
- Deploy: every change is reviewed, recorded, and reversible. Code reaches an environment only through an automated pipeline with a signed image build, dependency vulnerability scan, static analysis, secrets scan, and a full audit trail.
- Recover: failure is planned for and rehearsed, with daily snapshots, audit logs replicated to a second region, versioned file storage, and a one-command recovery drill that produces a dated report.
- Decommission: when a customer leaves they leave cleanly. One command removes the dedicated database, keys, data, DNS records, and images, then reports every resource removed. Only the immutable audit log remains.
- Audit: every claim above is independently verifiable. One command checks more than fifty controls against live cloud state and produces an evidence pack including a system description, management assertion, breach-notification runbook, and data-processing agreement.
Three Ways to Work With Prism
- Have us build it (technology-enabled service, how most teams start): bring a requirements document, a prototype, or a live application, and the illuminis team builds your product on Prism with you. You keep the asset.
- License the platform (product): take the platform, the source, and the AI build workflow, and build with your own team. Buy it outright or license it for your use case.
- Join as a partner (channel): systems integrators and consultancies get multi-tenant administration over their own isolated client cluster, white-label branding, enablement, and a recurring revenue share starting at 30% for the life of every account.
How Prism Works
- Bring what you have: a requirements document, a sketch, a prototype built with an AI coding tool, or a live application with real customers. Each has a defined path onto the platform, including a renovation playbook for production apps.
- Choose the engagement: license and build with your team, build with ours, or partner and deliver to your own clients.
- Build only what is unique: your application code lives in its own region of the repository on top of an immutable platform region, with a baseline gate that proves the platform is shippable before any application code lands.
- Provision, ship, and sell: provision isolated tenants, manage them and their billing from one console, and ship a self-contained product that arrives with its own marketing website.
Who Builds on Prism
- Software company CPTOs whose roadmap is blocked by never-ending platform work
- Founders with a working prototype that fails enterprise security review
- Private equity operating partners standardizing a portfolio on one foundation
- Enterprise innovation leaders needing a sanctioned foundation for internal applications
- Systems integrators and consultancies who want recurring software revenue, not just implementation fees
- Heads of engineering whose product engineers spend most of their time on plumbing
Results
- 75% faster product releases
- 99% AI-driven development
- 80% less boilerplate to build and maintain
- More than 50 controls verified against live cloud state on every deploy
Where Is the Proof? We Build Our Own Products This Way
Every illuminis product runs on Prism: a business operating system, a knowledge product, and a compliance platform, all built fast by a small team on this foundation. If we can ship at this pace on it, so can you. So we are sharing it rather than keeping it to ourselves.
- OmniFlux™: a full business operating system on one connected object graph
- KnowledgeBrain: cited answers grounded in a company's own documents
- InferTrust™: cryptographic proof for every AI-assisted decision
- StockBalancer™: inventory optimization for mid-market operators
